Part 2 – The Disappearance of Pastor Pee – When a Mentor Goes Silent and God Steps In

Part 2 of the “Timothy Series” – Faith, Mentorship, and the Making of a Youth Leader

THE TIMOTHY SERIES

A Journey of Faith, Manhood & Calling

Timothy felt his skin break out in goosebumps as the presence filled his room. He recognised immediately and whispered

“Thank you, Holy Spirit”

Then, almost simultaneously asked out aloud…….almost like a belligerent child……..”Where is Pastor Pee? Where have you sent the old man to?”

“To the field” he heard

“Where?” Timothy was beginning to sulk

“What do you want him for? He has done enough work with you and others need him too”

“But he didn’t say goodbye”

“It was not expedient. You are now in charge, here”

A light knock sounded at his door – it was his mother – leaving for work.

Rumours, fear, spiritual warfare, and Tim’s search for answers.

After his mother left, Timothy prowled his room deep in thought. It struck him how Pastor Pee had disappeared in the same way he had appeared.

Initially, Timothy had ignored the rumours. People were beginning to talk that Pastor Pee had fallen out with the Regional Church Board – that his teachings were too disruptive. Others said he had left to go check on his family…….they could not believe that a man of his age and pedigree had no wife and children somewhere. Then there were the few who said the most unkindest things…….that Pastor Pee was in prison for he had stepped on some powerful toes

Pastor Pee, an eccentric man had always been a little unpredictable.  Then he was a man who moved with the wind of the Spirit, who could disappear into fasting retreats or reappear with a new revelation that rearranged everyone’s thinking. But this silence felt different. It wasn’t the silence of retreat. It was the silence of absence.

Days became weeks.
Weeks stretched into a month.
And Timothy found himself checking his phone more often than he checked his Bible.

At first, he justified it.

“Maybe he’s travelling.”
“Maybe he’s overwhelmed.”
“Maybe he’s praying for me quietly.”

But after this morning’s encounter with the Holy Spirit, the truth settled in slowly, like dusk creeping across a room:
Pastor Pee was gone.

No explanation.
No farewell.
No final prayer or blessing.
Just… gone.
